Blessing In Response to "Injustices"
Hi. I was just sitting outside reading and thinking of how I really want to be a Soft person, then I read this verse. I’ll quote it the way that I saw it when I read it. “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. And if you are wronged or insulted [or FEEL like you were wronged or insulted], BE A BLESSING, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing… turn from evil and do good… seek peace and pursue it” (1Pet. 3:8ff). I thought those were some Practical and Helpful thoughts from Peter, someone who is often remembered as not having the most even temperament. : ) Love, sr 11:45 a.m.
More thoughts on tools to being soft… Do I have to have things my way? Do I have to have someone agree with me? or “understand” me? Or in those difficult situations, am I “creating harmony, being compassionate, sympathetic, humble, seeking peace”? Would those close to me say, “When things aren’t going her way, SHE BECOMES A BLESSING!”? This seems so much like a very practical sort of Help to me. Hope it is to you too. Love, sr 1:03 p.m.
