Hearing God—An Inward Drawing

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. As the prophets have said, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me” (Jn. 6:44-45). What does it mean to “HEAR” God and “learn from the Father?” Practically, often to hear God and be “taught by God” is to experience an inward drawing toward Jesus. “Unless the Father DRAWS him ...” That is, this “speaking” by the Father when we are being “taught by God” is an inward attraction toward Christ—a heart-cry towards our Brother and Messiah, and our deep need for Him. We will feel His grief or His pleasure, and His drawing us to Himself. This inner drawing, at key times when we MUST hear HIM, is one way God directly speaks to us. LISTEN for Him! Respond when you do! 11:50 a.m.
