Purify Me
12/16/1990
If I should die tomorrow
And this face you’d never see again,
There’s one thing I beg, my friend:
That’s never give up.
Keep on singing…
Purify me Lord from ways that aren’t of you,
Take away the old and make my life brand new.
I surrender all to you — not my will but Thine.
The sweetest thing I know is letting your Love show.
Through the trials and heartaches
Remember why He came, my friend.
You know the Light shines to the end,
So never give up.
Keep on praying…
Purify my heart, I yield to you each part
Help me to run into your arms when the purifying starts
I surrender all to you — not my will but Thine
The less there is of me, the more of You I see.
Make yourself as nothing (Mat.10:32‑39; Phil.2:3‑16; Heb.11:6),
No “feelings,” no rights, my friend.
You’ll be rewarded in the end,
So never give up.
