The Greatest Love Story

There is a man and God, one and the same, who died for me because I am unworthy to be loved with a perfect love.

He scanned the universe, and then, with a tenderness in His eyes reached down and drew me unto Himself. He told me that He loved me and offered to me to receive His perfect love, explaining that He alone was worthy to offer it to me.

With gladness I took it and gave Him mine, forsaking all others who would court me or attempt to turn my head from the One who would now forever hold me.

How handsome my Lover is O How handsome! His eyes are like flames of fire. His hair is as white as wool, His feet like brass and His voice like the sound of many waters, like the sound of a multitude.

How beautiful my beloved is! O how beautiful! In her mouth do I entrust my words. Her lips drip honey. She is dressed for battle. She lives to love Me and see My work done. Her feet are shod with preparation that comes with the gospel of peace. She is adorned with jewels. And it is still yet to be seen all that she will be.

It is You, my Lover, who adorns me with jewels. It is You who brought me up from the pit of my despair. You make me to walk beside the still waters. You restore my soul. You clothe me in Your righteousness. You lead me in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. And all Your ways are pure. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows.

My lover is mine and I am His. What God has joined together let not man nor principalities nor any force separate.

Let the King take me into His chambers behind the curtain. For He has taken me as His own.

My lover is mine and I am His. And it will be so forever.

*This is a true story. And you can live in the reality of it as well.
