Do You Want God's DNA? Digest and Be Digested

11/5/2024

Religionists say, “Just call on the Lord and you’ll be saved… just ask Jesus into your heart.” The result of this phony INCOMPLETE doctrine is a vast array of phony Christians, phony churches, and phony leaders.

Before you freak out at this, understand “As many as are led by the Spirit are sons of God” — and yet almost no one has the slightest idea how to be led by the Spirit. That sounds like a salvation problem and certainly a leadership problem, doesn’t it?

Let’s go deeper into God to find Him and the way Jesus lived as the Second Adam and our pioneer. Join one restaurant discussion below… of the Work in progress of learning to divide between soul and spirit and Walk in the Z axis, the Zoe axis, the life of eternity past, present, and future, together with the living Jesus, now. It’s available.

Your “Need for Knowledge” Is XY-Axis

You needing to have knowledge of whether something is good or bad is the XY-axis. “Is this good or bad… good or bad?” That is you eating from the wrong tree. That is you going to satan’s tree because you want an answer about whether something is “allowable” or not.

The day you eat of satan’s tree is the day you surely die. You’re killing yourself because you think you have to have an answer of whether something is good or evil. And because you can’t have that, you feel anxiety.

When you are not your own but are bought for a price, you aren’t trying to angle anything.

“Hmm…How can I still look in the mirror?” And then, “Oh no, now I have anxiety because I’m not supposed to look in the mirror.”

No. I am “bought for a price,” so I don’t have anxiety because I don’t care about stuff anymore.

I’m willing to be a street person, or I’m willing to run for President. I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me one way or the other. And as I look back on my life (or forward to my life ahead), I’m not anxious or bitter about what I “could have done” or “could have had” or “could have been” or what I could do or have or be.

I don’t care because I’m not my own. I’ve been bought for a price. If following Him leads me to a mountain… that’s fine. If it leads me to a gutter or sleeping in the subways, that’s fine, too. I am anxious for nothing because I am a dead man.

Be Anxious for NOTHING

When we Trust and open our hands to God, we’ll stop our anxious crying because we won’t have a “reason” to cry anymore. If you feel anxious for any “reason” at all, then the “reason” is the lack of Trust part. If you Trust God, then those reasons can be brushed away like a gnat.

If you just woke up in the middle of the night crying without a thought in your head, then maybe it is just medical or chemical and maybe you cry for a minute and go back to sleep. But, if you are going back and forth or round and round on something or even back and forth about whether it’s ok to cry or not, then that is YOU doing it. That is the XY axis of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

But the alternative to that is simple: Shut up and open your hands and say, “God, into your hands I commit my spirit. I don’t have to figure it out.”

Anxiety for Your Reasons Is Not “Nothing”

A Command Is God’s DNA

“The Word became flesh. The Word was with God. The Word WAS God. The Word became flesh and dwelt for a while among us.” John 1

If it’s a command, it is a part of God. A “command” is part of God’s DNA. If you have to decide whether you want God’s DNA or not, that’s a problem.

So it doesn’t matter if it’s “hard or easy” or seems “relevant or irrelevant.” It doesn’t matter. If it is a command, then the deeper you go into it, the deeper you go into God. It’s an adventure, a journey, an opportunity. To be afraid of it is just pure stupidity.

The argument that the viper had with Adam and Eve was: “God is just trying to cheat you or hurt you.” That was satan’s argument in the garden at the wrong tree. “Well, God said…. but you should think of it this way… You should question God’s character.”

What Adam and Eve should have said was, “I don’t know why this tree is worse than that tree. The fruit looks good to eat. I wonder what the problem is. But God said not to, so I’ll move closer to God by embracing what He said.”

But Adam and Eve wanted to have both. They wanted to do what they wanted to do. And THAT created anxiety.

Can you see that if I truly want to be deeper in God, and God said ____, then it’s not really about “obeying” at that point? It’s about His DNA. How do I get deeper into God? He gave us a doorway. And that doorway is also called a “command.”

His commands are Him… and they are love and protection and safety. That can melt your heart if you let it. And then because you know His character…

Because You Know His Character You Go Deeper and Deeper Into His DNA

To Digest and Be Digested

Just to show you how important this is and how the casual religious person doesn't like it, in fact, even gets mad about it…

What was everybody's response when Jesus said, “Unless you eat my body and drink my blood, you have no life in you”? What was the response?

They left Him because they didn't understand what it meant to digest Jesus and be digested by Jesus.

“You have to digest me. You can't know about me and ‘obey as much as you can think of about me. You have to be digested by me.

“I in you, and you in me.” John 14:20

“My father and I will come and make our home in you.” John 14:23

“I was with you, I will be in you.” John 14:17

It's about being digested. It's not about figuring out how many things to obey. Wanting to go deeper into God is the reason to love His command. This is about His DNA. This is about who He is and becoming part of that by digesting Him and being digested by Him.

“Unless you eat my body and drink my blood, you have no life in you.” John 6:53

Some say, “Well, that just means take the Lord’s supper.” It does not mean that. What it means is that you have to become One with Him. And His commands are not something “to do to make Gawwwd happy.”

“The word was with God. The word was God….The word became flesh and dwelt among us.” John 1

He is the commands. He is the cup. He is all that.

He is the sabbath. You don't “obey the Sabbath.” You eat the Sabbath and drink the Sabbath, and it eats you and drinks you. It's WHO HE IS. That's what matters. That's Zoe-Life—LIFE that always was and always will be.

And that Zoe-Life cannot be found at the wrong tree. The Pharisees were offended about the disciples eating grain on the Sabbath. If all you are doing is “obeying, obeying, obeying,” (“I have to do this or that to please Gawwd…”) that just makes you a Pharisee.

We obey because it's Him, not because we’re trying to do the right thing.

Explore the Rooms

Why did Jesus say, “If you love me, you'll obey me”?

That was not a threat. That was a description: If you love me, of course, you'll obey me.

That’s very different from: “If you don't obey me, then you don't love me. You're out of here.” He never said, “You go to hell if you don't obey me.” That's not what He said.

He said, “If you love me, you'll obey me” (John 14:16). It's the natural instinct. It's the natural reaction. If you're part of Him and He's part of you, then you WILL KNOW because you trust Him and your hands are open that obedience is part of Him and you want to explore Him.

Another room to explore!

“In my Father's House are many rooms.” You're exploring rooms with your obedience. “Open the door. Come on in. Come explore another room by another obedience.” You're not trying to justify yourself and keep your nose clean. You're exploring new rooms. “Here's a room that I've never been in. I never knew about obedience in this.”

You can make all the excuses you want like, “Maybe it doesn't really mean that. I don't want to obey that.”

But if you love Him, you'll obey Him. If you want to explore the Father's house, you'll open your hands and embrace every command as part of Him. You'll eat His body and drink His blood because it's part of Him. It's a new adventure. It's not a heavy yoke and heavy burden. If it feels like a heavy burden, then you have not experienced or are not experiencing that HE IS the Word.

The Word was with God in the beginning. Everything that we call a command is part of God's DNA. It's not some external thing that you can make a choice about like they did in the Garden of Eden.

Satan made them choose. God never asked for them to choose. God asked for them to explore Him, yet they wanted to be justified. They wanted to be like gods knowing good and evil. They wanted to have some control over what they thought would give them security. “If they only did this, they could have that.. and, and, and, blah, blah, I, I, I, me, me, me. That was all about them.

If it was only about God, they wouldn't have even been tempted by what satan said. They wouldn't care.

“Eat my body, drink my blood.” “If you love me, you'll obey me.” It's saying the exact same thing—just two different sides of the same point. Digest and be Digested.

We trust that God is good, and we trust that His commands are part of Him, so therefore, it's another room in the mansion to explore.
