Footsteps of the Savior's Grace
8/28/2023
In footsteps of the Savior’s grace, we tread,
To be alive in Him, yet world’s allure we shed.
To follow Jesus, one must truly see,
It’s in dying to the world, His truth shall be.
A journey where the heart’s desires wane,
Earthly pursuits dim, and dreams refrain.
The glittering temptations, we let them fall,
As we heed His call, surrendering all.
In world’s embrace, we’re not entwined,
For our allegiance is to the Divine.
Dead to the world, we rise anew,
Cloaked in His love, in purpose true.
Yet not disowned, but found anew,
A life in Christ, ever pure and true.
To be dead to the world, yet alive within,
Is the path where redemption’s story begins.
In the world, not of it, a paradox we find,
In Christ’s embrace, a peace of mind.
So let us journey, unburdened, and free,
Dead to the world, alive in eternity.
