Opposed Thought

10/23/1996

Hello saints... I had such a difficult time sending this message (MANY computer problems) that I felt as if I should send it to you as well. There are a few more that I have had such perplexing difficulties that I feel that I should send them on to you as well, in time. I’ve learned that when satan opposes something, it is worth extra effort in shoving it in his face.

Love,

Hello again. In answer to your requests...

I and we are praying for you and all OFTEN, OFTEN, OFTEN. Keep on going for the real stuff, no matter the cost. On the one hand, have the heart that Moses and Jesus had: “I don’t even want to ‘go in’ unless they can come with me!” On the other hand, hold fast to the attitude—better to ‘go in’ with one or two (or eleven) that CARE and want the Truth than a thousand that would rather live on the wrong side of the Jordan. Stay with it.

One lesson of the past year has been that the Kingdom of God is an UNSEEN kingdom, and therefore its Truths exist in that realm too. That’s why the “scholars” so seldom could see it—it couldn’t be attained through the eye gates and ear gates and olfactory senses as all other disciplines could. Practically speaking, we could TRUST our spiritual discernment (1Cor. 2, 1Jn. 2) and ACT on that alone at times, without further “proof.” For instance, if we had a “gut” feeling that someone really needed to be kept away from those in the Church that they could spiritually harm, those that had to be covered and treated with “special modesty” as Paul said—we would act on the “gut feeling,” rather than needing physical proof that there was a problem there. If we needed to ask someone to go on to another place, though they had managed to keep their trail “dusted” so that no proof could be presented of their participation in “another spirit,” we would ACT on our gut in the Spirit and suggest they do something else, for their own good as well as others.

It has brought much peace to know that we can trust our spiritual “knowers” and not be held hostage by the lack of “proof” of a spiritual problem. Is our Kingdom “not of this world”? Do we fix our eyes on what is seen, or what is unseen? Is faith the evidence and substance of things UNSEEN, or does it have to be SEEN to have substance? You see what I mean. This is so elementary, yet it has taken awhile to TRUST the “anointing that is real and not counterfeit,” that we can “discern all things.”

Well, we’ll keep praying that the Guide will shine the Light on your Path through this difficult training session for Eternal Work and Habitations. God Bless You.

Love,
