Questions About "Biology"

A response to a person grappling with how to view biological family members, and desiring the See the issue through Jesus’ eyes…

Hi Katie….. No time right now to go into this, but here goes. Caring for unregenerate relatives (John calls them “children of the devil” of course) is good, AS LONG AS affections and camaraderie are not part of the equation, or children being influenced or their hearts stolen by “children of the devil.” Loving them enough to try to save them from Eternal Fire is good, as LONG as that is not just an excuse to bend to their emotions, or yours. Flowers with a note asking them to turn to Jesus is good. Visits where JESUS and obedience to Him is the topic (not “Look how much the grandchildren have grown!” and other carnal and far less important issues) are good. “Family vacations” and “family reunions” where it is clear that NOTHING IS AT STAKE except your “hobby” (which they have no philosophic interest in) -- that is terrible and dishonors the Blood of Jesus. If there is nothing at stake, then you don’t really love them or Jesus very much. Because they are biological relatives you SHOULD have more influence to help them truly give their lives to Jesus -- THAT is what the biology is about. That’s what everything’s about! JESUS!

A true Christian is NOT someone who has said some magic words, or has gotten wet. It is a person who has given their WHOLE LIFE to Jesus, knowing they have crucified the Lord of Glory with their sins. “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord’… but I never knew them.” They have the “proof” or “Deposit” showing their Inheritance of the Spirit of Christ inside (Eph.1, Gal.3, Rom.8, etc)… and the Spirit of Christ inside (the Proof they are in the Blood) LOOKS A CERTAIN WAY, so we can know: Read 1Jn.1-1Jn.3 and you will find MANY “marks” of whether a person is truly Saved, or just religious. Gratefully, God gave us these “marks” at the hands of the apostle some 60 years after Pentecost FOR THIS VERY REASON! “Is a person just a hand-me-down cultural christian, without the Spirit and not truly Saved? Or does GOD HIMSELF live inside of them, proving their conversion is valid?”
