Two Common Lukewarm Tricks

Religious people trying to defend their lukewarm religious world often use two particular tricks you should be aware of:

First is the “idea” that even though you have to forsake your very life, hate the world and the things of the world, and come out from among them to be a Disciple, “it’s possible to be a Christian and not be a disciple”—so they say. Blow that idea up. Acts 11, “...the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch” (10-12 YEARS after Pentecost). There were no Christians in the world for a dozen years after Pentecost, scattered all over the world? It is a total lie to play that game that what Jesus said it takes to become a Christian applies to some subset. There is no subset of “disciple versus Christian” in the Bible. Total deceptive, manipulative, compromised lie for the lukewarm that Jesus vomits out.

The second trick they like to play is: “OK, so the building is filled with leaven on Sunday and Wednesday, even according to George Barna and Billy Graham. But that’s OK because Jesus said to let the wheat and the tares—the wheat and the weeds, ‘grow up together’ and the angels will separate them on the last day.” The truth is that Jesus was very clear: “the field is the world” (Matthew 13:38)! Not, “the field is the church” where weeds and wheat grow up together. He was simply saying “in the world, but not of the world” and it is a blasphemous lie to contradict “get the leaven out of the batch” (1 Corinthians 5:7) with an abuse and dishonest, manipulative ignorance of what Jesus actually said—“the field is the world.”

The field is the world and religious people want to claim it is the Church, for their own deceitful agenda and greed, and we are therefore “to do nothing about the leaven.” The field is the world! Not the Sunday morning thing that they always claim is the church! Leaven is forbidden. Sometimes it takes a while to know the difference between weakness and leaven, and that’s where Hebrews 3:12-14 comes in. “Attendance at a meeting” not only has no biblical basis, with “Sunday” only being mentioned twice in the 60 years of the New Testament, and never as “the official meeting day of all Christians everywhere”—but it is also useless as it relates to the mandate for all Christians—be called alongside one another, encourage one another, admonish one another daily, daily, daily. All Christians. And the penalty you pay when you don’t? It’s right there in the verse. “Hardened and deceived by sin.”

“Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:8-13)

This is the Verdict—John 3—THIS combined with Tree of Life vs. Tree of knowledge of good and evil—combined with Ephesians 4 gifting, specifically Architekton—has made ALL the difference as to why my life, our lives, are RICH with Life, Love, and Abundance. Obviously there is More (100% and +1, etc), and Jesus is the FOUNDATION of it all, but when I think of those three things, I know that the fork in the road goes radically south if those three things are not the structural foundation of the road to run on of the chosen fork.
