Vapor-life in This Biological Realm

...towards Life into Jesus and His Realm

3/24/2009

Hey—did you see the news article a week or so ago about those who claimed to have faith were far more likely to want medical intervention to stay alive. Why? It really struck me as weird. I was listening to “Have brave hearts” this morning, and thought of it again. If we truly believe that we get to go home and sit in Abba’s lap, why be afraid of death, especially so afraid to want to be treated by a lab rat to eak out a few more debilitated days or weeks (weaks)? I feel the conviction of my own fear.

Ray

Hi Ray : ) Wanting extreme “medical intervention” is ridiculous of course, and perhaps not indicative of someone intimate with Jesus and buried into His Life. However, let me mention this, since you asked. : )

Having “some” trepidation about the next Realm IS understandable, even to a Regenerate, Spirit-born person. In some ways such weighty consideration is understandable, even as a Blood-washed one, compared to those who don’t know God at all. Here’s why.

Paul felt the need in 1Thes. 4-5 to reassure Christians that we don’t need to think like the “hope-less” pagans about “death,” and expressed how they/we should instead think. It must have come up as a temptation for them too. ;) The “fear of death” is slavery and Father knew that only Jesus and the Truth of how things really are, if in Him, can set us Free Indeed. We’re not alone in “thinking about it” apparently, since those in Christ generations ago pondered and wondered, also. God knew we’d need to LEARN about it—in order to celebrate it. “Death where is your rumored victory and sting?!” Hallelujah. ;) It’s all meant to be a Journey to deepen us, and to understand and believe, “that we might become like Him” and grow further, Together, into “the full measure of the Stature of Christ.” That’s His Plan. : )

Interestingly, many of those WITHOUT conscience have “blocked out” their felt need to respond to God, and “deliberately forget” to their own demise. They “mind block” accountability for sin and loveless decisions for much of their entire lives. OF COURSE, then, they can continue in the arrogant make-believe world of sin of mindless or sinful activities. “I can handle it and I don’t care” are easy maxims for those who have cultivated a meaningless world-loving life for years by searing conscience. Some have even created a “doctrine” that “teaches” they are related directly to soulless animals like monkeys. This is another attempt to circumvent responsibility for what they love, and what they choose, in hopes of eliminating God and accountability, and thus any “concerns” about life after biological life.

Those of us with sensitive, accountable consciences and “fear of God” (wisdom) understand the AWESOME next step after biological life, and a sense of it’s unknowns and mysteries and the adventure of it all. OF COURSE it’s a wild Journey to another Realm, and somewhat disconcerting—even when we Know Him. YET,

WE HAVE THIS CONFIDENCE, AS JESUS AND SCRIPTURES TEACH: FOR THOSE “IN CHRIST” IT IS GOING TO BE AN AMAZING, JOYFUL ADVENTURE OF BEAUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES HE HAS CREATED FOR US IN “THE AGE TO COME!”

We “see in the mirror dimly” and HAVE sensitive consciences—and that makes it all FAR more “interesting” for us.

We won’t be fearful, but we’re not “sloppy” as we consider the gravity (non-gravity, actually) of it all. : )
