What Will I Choose?

One of the girls put some thoughts to this picture recently when we read "Invitation to Zoe Life". Sent by: cs

What Will I Choose?

Zoe Life: You use everything that happens as an opportunity to learn something about Jesus and yourself, and the surrounding world. Because you are not always busy thinking about yourself, you are very aware of everything around you, and are able to find joy in the small pleasures of every moment. You quietly wait for the treasures life brings, having no expectations or plans except where they are practical for your everyday needs. The motto of that Higher Life is "Your will be done." You know you are not God, and willingly admit you don't have ANY clue as to what is REALLY best. You relax and leave it to God's choice, and those He has placed in authority and protection over you... and live today in joy and self-abandonment. God is God, and anything can happen. You stay postured as a humble LISTENER, not "decision-maker." We live as Bondservants of Jesus. Heaven is open, and you reach for the Light of God on your ways and thoughts so nothing will be between you and Him and His People. Common life: You constantly think about yourself and how every event relates to you. Your life becomes a continuous, small, enclosed circle of self-thought. You actively pursue your next want--what you think you need to make yourself happy. "More!" is your motto, and you resent and lash out at whatever and whomever is in your way. Your reference point always revolves around what you expect from life. You are constantly searching for ways to avoid pain. Self-preservation is your goal. When change comes, or a new situation, or you are asked to do something that you don't understand, up shoots a giant wall of resistance. You stay imprisoned in the dark with no true relationships with your Maker or people.
