For What Things In This Lifetime Would You Endure Great Pain

6/16/2020

Question: For what things in this lifetime would you endure great pain, great opposition, setbacks and rejection, threats and hatred? What things in this lifetime are important enough to you that you will lower your head and run right into the fray rather than curl up and suck your thumb or quit or back down?

•Seeing those around me have the Opportunity to Be what they were each meant to be.

•For His Name and Reputation! I will not let that be smeared in the mud. Protecting His name as well as those who are His.

•For what He says is *TRUE* about His Son and His Church!

•For the Reward of His Suffering! For my brothers and sisters and our part in this, and any way I can help them, even if just a cup of water.

•For our children’s futures and the part they play in all of the above.

•Yes!! For the young ones to be set on our shoulders and go light-years ahead of us.

•And to see a smile on His face and hear “well done.”

•Amen! And to see Jesus’ name held high in every nation.

•For Him, His name and His people. Fighting to shine Brighter and Brighter until He has what He wants.

•That from the least to the greatest, from the youngest to the oldest, from the left-brained to the right-brained, from those who tend toward intellectual to those who tend toward emotional, from the introvert to the extrovert, that we would all have no other gods but the One True God and no other consuming affections besides Zeal for the Father’s House. And that Together we would be that House of Prayer and Obedience that He Desires.

•For all of you

•For Jesus’ Bride to be made ready IN all of HIS Glory.

•For Jesus to receive a return on His investment. My life for His.

•All of the above, but also, simply, I will do whatever He asks, whatever it takes. No price is too high because He’s already paid the highest price. So, He gets what He wants from me, plain and simple. That sounds like maybe a pat answer, but I don’t mean it that way. “And step by step You’ll lead me, and I will follow you all of my days.”

•ANYthing that pleases Jesus.

•That Jesus would be honored and respected and feared by mere mortals.

•To be “A Father to the fatherless, a defender of the widows...”

•Amen! All that was said just reminded me of Acts chapter 5 especially the part where it says: “An angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. ‘Go, stand in the temple courts,’ he said, ‘and tell the people all about *this new Life*.’” And at the end of the chapter after the apostles were flogged, they left “rejoicing because they had been counted *worthy of suffering disgrace* for the Name”... “and they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.”

•I don’t want to die always doing what’s safe and only experiencing natural life. God has done so much for us. By embracing the pain of what was mentioned above, we have the joy of being closer to Father. The Bride says, “Come Lord Jesus! We/ I’ll do anything for You to come back!”

•Jesus deserves the reward of His suffering for my life, and one way I will fight for that to be so is in Love—for Jesus, for His Family, in very practical ways, because love means *it doesn’t matter what happens to me*!!

•To bring Hope to those without it, “the word that sustains the weary.” Despair and fear are so deadly and deceitful.

•To see that Jesus’ ways and life are evident in us to unbelievers and neighbors and those we come across. That we are set apart as HOLY.

•To see that Jesus has His full way in my life and the lives of my Brothers and Sisters and our children.

•For Unity and endurance for God’s People to run the race to win and finish strong! To follow in Jesus’ steps and be like Him—His equal yoke with all of you and many more.

• For my Family because the cost of not suffering and running into the fray is too high in their lives.

And for those of you who didn’t say anything here yet, will you write something down or tell those near you as you express to God your commitment to lower your head and run into the fray (even expressing what you will do that for)?

•To follow through on the opportunities He puts in front of me, no hesitation or excuses or forgetting. To be a focused worshipper, regardless of the presence or absence of pain or any of those other things. And that those I love, those around me/us and the world would SEE the difference between dead religion and Jesus and His Life.

•To run into the fray to love, shine the light in the darkness, and do whatever the will of my Father in Heaven is for me to do with faith and trust in the blood of the Lamb in the face of failure, and my “body” looking to be as good as “dead.” For me in this last season of time that seems to be what’s kept me from running full force into the fray and caused some backing down, but by God’s Grace I’ll walk in this: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 NIV “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians 3:12 NIV TOGETHER may we all press on toward the goal of the Lamb receiving the reward of His suffering!

•For New Christians too! For many all over the world to fall to their knees and name Jesus as Lord. And the Work it would take to Nurture them. Willing to run into the fray for that Vision, for Jesus.

•Endure anything and all for the sake of Jesus and His Body being esteemed and honored ultimately by every nation...one person at a time...starting with those who have opportunities to hear and see through our lives, through the Opportunities via website, relationships at workplaces, doctor’s offices etc. That His Name be Manifest as GLORIOUS and that becoming evident by the testimony of our own Life Together. Desiring that does make “painful” stuff of earth ...less so, and so worth choosing Jesus for! : )

•I was thinking of this scripture too. “So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” (Luke 17:10 NASB) He is Worthy of any “personal cost”.

•And on the negative side: I would never want to give in to my day-to-day “stresses” by trying to find ways to numb my brain by turning to ANYTHING but Precious Jesus and being about His business. Rest, food, “entertainment” all only in connection with Abba. Let it be so! “Whether food or drink...”

•Great pain, great opposition, setbacks and rejection, threats and hatred because Jesus is our standard. No compromise. No shortcuts. No people pleasing. What Jesus wants and what Jesus says, period.

•I was thinking specifically about the “ten shekels and a shirt” recording and the idea of humanism. I/we will endure a lot of hatred and rejection by not prescribing to the idea that “everything revolves around human happiness and comfort and gain.” But instead, that EVERYTHING revolves around Jesus getting what He deserves! His comfort, joy, and gain. I’ve signed up for and will continue to sign up for that and all of the hatred and rejection that comes along with it, from the outside world.

Your Life For His

Would you see the love of God

And the word with power preached?

Do you know how late

The hour’s getting to be?

Would you see the strong man bound

And the captives go free?

There’s a price to pay

To walk in Calvary

Your life for His

What a small price to pay!

To walk in the truth

The life, and the way

Your life for His

What a small price to pay!

When to live is Christ

And to die is gain

What does it cost to name His Name

And to walk the narrow way?

Don’t call Him Lord

If you won’t do what He’ll say

Disciples first,

then fishers of men

So the words of Jesus say

Disciples first, is still the call today

Your life for His

What a small price to pay!

To walk in the truth

The life, and the way

Your life for His

What a small price to pay!

When to live is Christ

And to die is gain

Where’s the altar?

Where’s the cross?

Where’s the road toll for the lost?

Can you show me a living sacrifice?

You can’t preach what you don’t live

If you love Him, then you’ll give

God is asking and, for His sake

Come and die

My life for His

What a small price to pay!

To walk in the truth

The life, and the way

My life for His

What a small price to pay!

When to live is Christ

And to die is gain

“For what things in this lifetime would you endure great pain, great opposition, setbacks and rejection, threats and hatred? What things in this lifetime are important enough to you ... “

Isn’t the best way to make sure that we can stand up to the things we answered to this question when they come… isn’t the absolute best way making certain that we are not taking liberties and cutting corners with matters of integrity and sacrifice right now? “Oh it doesn’t matter that much.” “Just this one time.” “Oh he or she, or they, will never find out.”

Wouldn’t it be good to clean all of those things up now, while there is time?

•Yes! On it! Amen!
