Power, and Love, and Self-Control

...without timidity!

I was reading in 2 Timothy a few days ago and read this - "...Kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you... for God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of Power..." and i stopped there and was just thinking about that. What, practically, would it look like for me, personally, to live out the spirit of Power God has given ME? What does He want that to look like for me? I couldn't really see it, but i read on - "...AND Love, AND Discipline." And once all THREE of those elements were tied together in my mind, i had a little bit of a better picture. :) Anyway... although i have a hard time putting words on it - it's like it brings to my heart and mind a picture so deep, it almost brings me to tears sometimes... Like there's this tiny sprout, all alone, but it does what it was meant to do where it's been placed. It doesn't matter how strange or out of place it looks or what other people might think - "You shouldn't be doing that here! You're out of place. You're the only one." - But it is RIGHT for it to do what it's doing, and it's RIGHT for it to do it THERE! and so it does... "Power and Love and Discipline." What it makes ME think of is a lot more than i could say or fit into the "margins" of the picture, but... xoxooxoo Sent By: love, j
