A Ruler, Not Rules

We have a Ruler, not rules. We know where Jesus lived and lives is free from sin and “free indeed” with peace that transcends understanding, can’t be explained. He came to deliver us from sin, not just from the perspective of forgiveness, which is huge, if we trust Him and live for Him rather than ourselves. But He also came to deliver us from a life of sin that makes us slaves in our inner man. It’s not rules. It’s a Ruler—who has shown us the Way as our Pioneer. It’s what we were born for, and He came to demonstrate and provide for.

The Amish and Muslims would find morals in common with us to some extent that the filthy cleavage world of fake Christendom violates without conscience—but their legalism is infinitely different than our “lay bare the MOTIVES of the heart”—that has no rules but has a Ruler.

Jesus would, and does, always have wisdom and self-control, and reject motor and braindead instincts. It’s never about rules but of “motives of the heart.”

Yes. For sure! Exactly. That is so Eternally freeing—being truly Changed by a perfectly Benevolent Ruler.
