The Interesting Thing About Idols

An Idol is:

“whatever evokes strong emotions,

brings comfort, and controls your decisions and moods,

or time, or money, or friendships.”

The Interesting Thing About Idols is that whatever fills this place in your life CANNOT be “added” alongside Jesus, and therefore MUST be capable of Saving your soul on Judgment Day. Good luck with that, if you allow anything or anyone or any idea to take this place—HIS Place—in your life.

As Father said about His Son, Jesus: “HEAR YE HIM!”

Still, “some said it thundered.”

HEAR YE HIM, AND HIM ALONE. HE WILL HAVE NO OTHER SUITORS FOR HIS PLACE OF DECISIONS, EMOTIONS, MOODS, TIME, MONEY, or FRIENDSHIPS.

But, He’s worth it. “The Pearl” of Jesus and His Ways are worth a billion times their alleged “cost” : )
