Agitate

A young man asked the aged Fredrick Douglas (a black leader in the Civil War era) what he should do with his life. Mr. Douglas replied, “Agitate, agitate, agitate.” In other words, for us: Don’t get comfortable. Keep poking and prodding and pushing for change, within yourself—and for Jesus’ sake in His Kingdom, and on His planet. Agitate! Churn! Watch and Pray and Live fully for Him, and risk it all for His honor. Don’t make peace with anything less than His Best and Highest! : ) —nb
