"Be At Peace. I Have Overcome the World!"

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” (Christian Standard Bible)
“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (American Standard Version)
“I have spoken these things to you so that you shall have peace in me. You shall have suffering in the world, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” (Aramaic Bible in Plain English)
I have told you this, so that you might have peace in your hearts because of me. While you are in the world, you will have to suffer. But cheer up! I have defeated the world. (Contemporary English Version)
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world. (Douay-Rheims Bible)
“I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!” (Good News Translation)
Somehow it just feels different when the creator of the universe is GUARANTEEING us that we WILL fail, we WILL feel pain, we WILL suffer injustice and defeat and sorrow.
How is that REALLY a failure if he tells us in advance, before we have done good or bad, that “we will suffer, but be at peace because he has overcome the world?”
