Biblical Man vs. Wax Mannequin

7/16/2025

One of THE fundamental flaws of western religion that calls itself Christianity and “Biblical” is illustrated by a company known as “Medi-Share.” Medi-Share is touted as a “biblical” alternative to Obamacare and normal medical insurance. Yes, “biblical” is explicitly claimed in all of their advertisements, and verbalized as “biblical” in their radio advertising testimonials. Their phone number is even something like 1-800-BIBLE.

Can you catch WHY they can claim they are “biblical” and the basis on which they could possibly imagine that were true? It’s sooo shallow and self-serving how Westerners tend to think. Honesty would be far too costly and inconvenient.

“Medi-Share” is labeled “biblical” because... not because anything about it—whatsoever—is in the Bible...

“Medi-Share” is labeled “biblical” because...

•The Medi-Share website prominently calls it, “The affordable and Biblical healthcare alternative”
•The “About” section explains the program is rooted in Christian community, centered on mutual encouragement and prayer—including specific Bible verses in their mission
•Their homepage states: “For over 30 years, Medi-Share has relentlessly pursued a biblical model of sharing for our Christian community”
•Medi-Share was founded with a “Christian” target audience. Positioning it as “biblical” was meant to appeal to the culture of Christians in the US
•Medi-Share advertises as member-voted guidelines—based on claimed “biblical” lifestyle “requirements” thus making it “biblical”

The RULES qualifying a person as “biblical-enough” to join the medical insurance club known as Medi-Share:

•One must profess to be a Christian and sign their “Statement of Faith”
•“No tobacco, drug abuse, sex outside of marriage, or ‘unbiblical’ behaviors”
•To be allowed into the club, one must sign a “biblical” pledge to maintain healthy habits and avoid preventable illness
•Participate in “biblical” community prayer, encouragement, and accountability

Like the vast majority of the religious world, Medi-Share’s version of “biblical” is like the attendance-based version of “biblical”— nice sentiments, and in some sort of external way some good gets done, but falsified by rules and illusions at the core- It is absolutely not “biblical.” There is nothing whatsoever like it in the Bible, and it only fabricates an illusion of “Christ-likeness,” biblical “themes,” and the phony western definition of “a Christian.”

Lying about beliefs and lifestyle is acceptable and normative, in “Medi-Share” and the religious world. No one actually needs to be converted to Jesus, take up their cross, deny their very self, be endued with power from on high by the Holy Spirit, or be daily joined to the life of Christ with other believers, as the Bible insists.

A wax apple—Glossy, red, and perfectly shaped... but take a bite, and you’ve discovered the fraud.

A cardboard fireplace—Warm looking, mantel and all... but it’ll never heat a room.

A plastic rose—Velvet petals, thorny stem, deep crimson hue... yet it will never wilt or bloom.

An AI love letter—Poetic, heartfelt, full of “I miss yous”... written by a machine that’s never felt a thing.

A painted-on window—Sunlight, curtains, and a perfect view... except you’re staring at a wall.

A diploma mill degree—Framed, embossed, with Latin flair... but the wisdom’s as fake as the ink.

A photo of a meal—Michelin-plated, mouthwatering... but good luck feeding your hunger with the illusion of “biblical” food.

A mannequin in a tuxedo—Tall, handsome, perfectly dressed... but dead behind the eyes and never pays the check.

A replica sword—Polished steel, ornate handle, weighty feel... but shatters on the first swing.

An apology that says all the right things—“I’m sorry,” “I take full responsibility,” “I’ll do better”... but spoken without a shred of change behind it.

A Bible on a coffee table—Leather-bound, highlighted, bookmarked... but seldom opened, optionally obeyed.

A worship song on mute—Lyrics of praise, perfect chord progressions... but no sound, no spirit, no surrender.

If you can grasp the idea of a mannequin as your wife or husband or child, you will have great insight into how the Western religious system thinks about themselves as “biblical”—with their UNbiblical clergy/laity, religious temples and buildings, liturgies and rituals, their pagan holidays they call Christian: Easter and Christmas, Mardi Gras, and Sunday, attendance-based ceremonies on a 60-minute stopwatch, and Bible studies that never existed in the Bible. And you will see why that is all supposedly “biblical,” also.

The words “about” Jesus’ character and teaching, in a Sunday sermon (or on an insurance website), are not the Reality, and to simply embrace the illusion of “biblical” via verse plucking is a bad idea.

The Bible as we know it never existed for the first 100 years of the “biblical” church.

Today’s cultural Christianity could not be further from being “biblical” no matter how much Verse plucking they do. “What’s wrong with praying together and singing together for a few minutes every Sunday morning before they pass the collection plate?” Well, maybe, because the people who really knew Jesus NEVER did such a thing, maybe such a thing is not biblical?

When we figure out how they lived “biblically,” in the abandoned faith to the PERSON of Jesus Christ, REAL-time, even “BEFORE the Bible”—we will actually be, as the game goes, Warmer... Warmer... Warmer... Hot!
