Divine Opportunities In the Face of Temptation

Good morning!! I recently was facing some heartache and ugly temptation on the inside, and after sharing it with a sweet sister of ours, she paged me back with this message: “What we do with such temptations really matters. It helps to know that it is just a feeling, a temptation. It’s not going to happen though. We’ve made a covenant with Him that does not involve folding or screaming or quitting or running. Those things are not an option. We’ve promised Him. I try to remind myself that THIS is my opportunity for growth. THIS is where I learn Christ... This is where the rubber meets the road. THIS IS MY OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE HIM GLORY! And no one else may ever really see the raging war within you or even understand what the big deal is—but HE knows, and WE know, and HEAVEN WILL KNOW as we turn to Him and make the choices that make a difference for forever.” It has been very helpful for me, and I really hope it is for you, too.
