It's Dumb to Sin

You know, sometimes life is much more simple than we make it. : ) Because we KNOW Father ALWAYS disciplines us when we choose to sin (Heb. 12)—because He loves us... IT IS DUMB TO SIN! It’s EASY to choose to control eyes, ears, mouth, body, decisions, attitudes... when we KNOW we aren’t “getting away with anything” and it’s not REALLY worth it to give in to sin. Father is NOT missing anything or inconsistent. We EXPECT, as parents, that EVERY instance of rebellion, selfishness, back talk, delayed “obedience,” or whininess will be disciplined. We LOVE our children. Ahhh... GOOD NEWS! God loves US too! So, just as we wish our children to “wake up” to this reality, so the simple Truth is there for US to grasp as well: it’s DUMB to sin! He’s always Right, and He knows Best! Trust Him. Soften. Respond WILLINGLY? He really DOES know Best, no matter what it looks like or “feels” like to us. Trust... Lift soft hands to Him. EVERYTHING goes better that way. You knew that! : ) 9:40 a.m.
