Energy Leaks

An incredibly simple thought, but it was an eye-opener for me this morning... I was thinking about “energy leaks”—idle thoughts, undealt with attitudes, distractions, busyness, details—and how deadly they are to Jesus’ LIFE in me. They drain and sap my limited supply of strength and energy that could be (and should be) spent on Jesus and His Kingdom. I was really struck though, how it’s not just for “my” sake, “my” relationship with God, “my” spiritual health... but if I’m SPENDING what heart and soul and mind energy I’ve been given on stuff, then I’m ROBBING Jesus of Power. I’m STEALING energy and strength from His People. THAT is how my choices, my sin, my life can affect someone all the way on the other side of the world! Kinda gave me a different perspective and motivation for staying alert and clear-minded and dealing with the little things. Unto Jesus be ALL glory and honor and POWER! —sc : ) 1:30 p.m.
