Extreme is What We Signed UP For

Without a vaccine or a lot of grace, most of us are eventually going to get Covid. That’s the science anyway. You can slow it but you can’t stop it. That’s what “flattening the curve” means. It’s just a matter of time without the two aforementioned things intervening. And discovery of a vaccine in less than 20 years would also be grace.
So, we men are going to get to show that we are as tough as our women who give birth and show immense poise in those moments :-)
Or Grace.
Extreme is what we Signed UP for.
Psalm 61 is the attitude to have when facing those facts, regardless of the personal outcome. No fear.
Hear my cry, O God,
listen to my prayer;
from the end of the earth I call to you
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
for you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the enemy.
Let me dwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
For you, O God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Prolong the life of the king;
may his years endure to all generations!
May he be enthroned forever before God;
appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
So will I ever sing praises to your name,
as I perform my vows day after day.
A week later...
The whole planet has suffered some health and racial wounds. Of course they don’t seem humbled by either.
We too have suffered economic wounds that threaten pathways God has opened and ordained.
In our language, and our spiritual supernatural ecosystem that can only mean one thing: double down. Right here, right now.
Father show us how to implement and execute in response. We are here to risk it all for you, including health, sleep, all that we have and are. There is nothing and no one but You, and no setbacks will change that. The world has nothing we want, and can take away nothing we need.
