Forsaking All

I did a brief search on the expression “forsaking all,” and this is what came back. Frankly, I think we can all think of 20 or 30 more scriptures.

But, beyond question, the summary is this:

“Choose sides and let go of everything, or you are caught in a net and have already lost your freedom and will drown. You cannot have it both ways, with your mind and your fears and your pride and earthly desires... And also have Jesus and the unseen Kingdom. Forsake ALL, Choose sides completely.”

Forsaking All

“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” Philippians 3:8 ESV
