Give Him HIS Desires!!

This is something i wrote last night after some of us read in “The Fisherman” together, where Peter was talking about how no matter what happened through the days, and no matter how he failed or how foolishly he acted…when he went to sleep at night, and when he woke up in the morning, Jesus was still his Faithful Master, patient and constant and Love, and Peter was still His disciple. i’d been thinking too about how i can worship Jesus by telling Him how wonderful He is, but a really good place to start is to listen to Him tell His heart towards me! Because any way that i love Him and desire Him, somehow He feels that towards me even more! Even though He is soooo Great and Beautiful, and i am so nothing without Him. Seeing that makes me want even more to be near Him, and give Him HIS desires!!

When you wake up in the morning,

I’m your Father, you’re My child.

When you go to bed at night,

I’m your Father, you’re My child.

Through all that happens through the days—

Delightful, joyous moments,

Precious gifts I give to you,

Pain and sorrow, and temptation,

Difficulties, challenges—

Forever and ever we shall remain

Father and darling child.

There is nothing that could ever happen

That would change the way I feel towards you.

You’re sorely tempted, fall and fail,

You leave My side for other things.

But because I love you, I’ll rebuke,

And never let you stray too far.

I love to see you return to me, truly sorry,

And have you curl up in My lap.

I love to hear you pour out your heart to Me,

And tell Me all that you’re thinking, feeling, struggling with.

And your sweet petitions for your friends—

How can I resist such requests?

And how can I resist pouring into your lap

Extravagant gifts and blessings as reminders

Of how dearly I hold you in My heart?

Sometimes I give you gifts

You may not see as such at first:

Pain almost unbearable,

Enemy pressure unbelievable,

Difficulty surpassing anything you’ve ever known.

But as I see you stand—and when you’ve done all, stand—

Even when you don’t understand,

And can hardly see through the clouds of your tears—

When I see that uncompromising, undying loyalty to Me,

Regardless of circumstances or appearances,

I must say…I am deeply touched.

It’s true, you make Me very sad sometimes,

When you rebel and go your own way,

When you forget to talk to Me,

When you treat Me like I’m not a real Person,

And ignore My invitations to walk and talk together.

But I always call you back

And wash you Clean indeed when you return.

And you know in your heart of hearts

That you don’t ever want to be without Me,

Just like I don’t ever want to be without you.

Yes, you fill Me with gladness and delight unspeakable

As we walk together as friends and companions,

And I watch you respond and grow, change and give.

THIS is worth the agony of My cross 100 times over.

I don’t ever want you to forget that you are that precious to Me!

I can hardly wait until we can be together face to face : )

Until then…

I am your Father, you are My child,

And nothing, ever will be able to change that.

From the rising of the sun in the morning

To its setting in the evening,

I will remain constant, Faithful to you,

And not the schemes of men or the powers of darkness,

Not the decay all around you,

Or even your own sins and “failures,”

Will ever be able to change that.
