Why Is it Harder to Pray... When Things Are Going Well?

What is the reason that it’s 10 times harder to pray (for most people) when things are “going well” instead of disastrously painful?
Can you pinpoint the reason?

Can you answer the question? What is the reason that we tend to pray and be Changed when things are not going well, and tend to “forget” when things are status quo or good?
We share His glory if we share in the Fellowship, partnership, of His suffering. Why does it work that way?

Because pride and selfishness and worldliness blind most people, and they forget that every good thing comes from God, not from their efforts or their skills or luck or what is due them…
...while suffering and pain and loss and failure “CAN” humble us—if we let them TURN US TO GOD (instead of to fear or bitterness or resentment or jealousy or self pity or anger—the godless responses).
