He's TRUE!

I think I’ve been putting all my money on me,

When I SHOULD have been betting on GOD,

No matter the flailing and erring I’ve done,

I can ALWAYS stand back and applaud…….

All the ways He’s kept me Safe this far,

And watch for how He’ll finish the task,

Of holding me in front of the mirror,

While peeling off every mask.

And in the end, nothing will even remain,

Of all that He’s been through,

Of working and purging and burning and changing,

All that will stand is, “HE’S TRUE!”

So I’d better fasten my eyes upon GOD,

And put all my money on Him,

Cuz nothing I could ever do,

will ever inValidate HIM.

Each day watching for what HE will do,

To help me finish the Walk,

Knowing there is a part I play,

Of believing when He talks.

And all the while, only one thing is required,

That I know my God is True,

That I fix all my hope and the weight of my life,

On the ONE who will see me through…….
