CHOOSE to See the Hedges from GOD’S Side!

A fascinating thought: Humans see hedges from the wrong side of the hedge. (“The Harness of the Lord”)

Until we let go of our arrogance or SELF-preservation we don’t Realize the HEDGE God places is for our own protection!

23Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden,
And whom God has hedged in?
24 For my sighing comes before I eat,
And my groanings pour out like water.
25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me.
Job 3:23-25 (NKJV)

8Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. Job 1:8-10 (NKJV)

It’s easy to see when we consider the hedges we put around “our” children. Restraints and boundaries are love and protection.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.

You will fill me with joy in Your presence. Psalm 16

God, His presence, is within the boundaries, inside the hedges. That’s where God keeps us with Him. That’s the only place joy exists: in His presence.
