His Work and Rest
12/26/2001
“If you are reproached for the name of the Anointed—blessed are you—for the Spirit of Glory, and of God, RESTS upon you.” The Greek word for “RESTS” is a technical agricultural term for what a farmer does when he allows a plot of ground to forego the burden of a heavy crop for a season, and “rotates” the burden to another area of ground. He “RESTS” the land. Ponder, then, HOW the Spirit of Glory and the Spirit of God interact with you, and revitalize you… as the farmer brings new life and nutrients to the soil for a future powerful harvest? If we participate in the Work, “If you are reproached for the name of the Anointed—blessed are you—for the Spirit of Glory and of God RESTS upon you.” Deliverer used the same word when He said: “And I will give you REST!” It’s not just a nap! “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Mat. 11:28 NIV). 3:54 p.m.
