Homeschool?
5/1/2004
We’re not in favor of “home-school” OR “home-church” per se. Perhaps educating your children outside of the government factory schools is a good idea (rather than letting the Philistines and Babylonians fill their brains and train their indulgences and model evil). But, that’s different than “home-school”. And “house-church” or “home-church” is a ridiculous and unBiblical concept, though certainly the current “fad”. Perhaps BUILDING DAILY RELATIONSHIPS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH “SERVICES” or “BUILDINGS” or “SCHEDULES” of ANY kind is a good idea though. Since that’s how JESUS did it. And still does. “As we rise up, as we sit down, as we walk along the Way.” Apply that to educating your children out of life and love and commitment to their daily lives, 24 hours, 7 days, 365 days a year, and you’ll have the “education” AND the Jesus-Life things a little more in hand, from an understanding standpoint. But, “house-church” or “home-church” or “home-school” are really not the *Real* thing. Just same-ole same-ole, and mostly more amateurish and weak than their factory counterparts. : )
