"I LIKE Myself!" - REALLY?!

And saying or thinking, “But I LIKE myself. Why would I want to die to myself?!” is even a debate to have in our mind??!!

When I was born aNew, I know that was something that changed. I went from liking “me” and my personality, and wanting my son to be like me, also, to—“YUK! I no longer want ANY of that old DNA.” I despise it. “Who I was” represents that vile enemy of God, and I want nothing to do with it. It is also why “defensiveness” makes no sense. I am no longer on “my side.” Like the Levites, I’m on the Lord’s side and am willing to take up the sword against myself. Although I can still sometimes be tempted to be defensive. : (
