If You Love Me...
5/14/1998
As you read John’s and other’s descriptions of the life of Jesus, please bear in mind that these accounts are NOT meant, primarily, to invoke in us a desire to imitate Jesus’ life—rather, an awe... an ever-deepening gratitude... an honoring... an indebtedness... a love. Without these worshipful responses to the stories about Jesus, any imitation of His actions becomes religion. But, in light of worship, of deep thankfulness and awe—imitation finds its reality. “If you love me, you’ll do what I say...”—bryan 8:24 a.m.
