If You Believe...

How much do you believe in the promises of God through His Son for your progress of becoming a mature, useful man or woman of God? Do you realize that how much hope you have for it, and faith you have in believing that it will be, are very much related, and even dependent on one another? Consider a couple of verses from Colossians... “we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints—the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the good news that has come to you....” (Col. 1:4-6 NIV). And, “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established firm, not moved from the hope held out in the good news” (Col. 1:21-23 NIV). Believe and exult in your reconciliation, love the saints, and bear fruit unto God in Christ Jesus! (df)
