1994, today, and forever.........
“Not only was He gentle and tender and true, but also righteous, stern as steel, and terribly tough on phony people. Those who held back, like Ananias and Saphira and the ‘rich young ruler,’ saw a different Jesus than is popular today. Though today He is no different.
“God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities” (Acts 3:26).
“He was magnificent in His magnanimous spirit of forgiveness for fallen folk, but a terror to those who indulged in double talk or false pretenses.
“He came to set men free from their own selves, their own fears, their own, and oft well-hidden addiction to sin and self-life. Those so liberated loved Him with fierce loyalty.”
When was a Scientist an Artist, too?
When LOVE made the world, and me, and you.
When laws were made to guard our sin-driven race,
And keep us returning, in need, to His face.
When was a Judge a pain-bearing Father?
When bound by my Self, Mercy made me His daughter.
When eyes heavy-laden, with knowledge and scars,
Also showed trust, and hope, and love-stars.
When was a Lawyer a Singer of songs?
When drowning in sins, His Voice led me along.
When hopeless, despairing, and feeling my shame,
Truth held out Life to me, by taking the blame.
When does an Engineer show emotion and heart?
When God merges Himself with His own work of art.
When into the problems solely ours He descends,
And defeats them by filling them out to the ends.
When is a worthless beggar an heir?
When His banner extends to slaves in the lair
Of their darkness and doubt,
‘Til they find their Maker, their Lover, tender and kind.
When is a Warrior a Healer of pain?
When thoughts accusing and sly in their aim
Are cut through the heart by the sword of His reign,
And rendered thus voiceless and lacking refrain.
And in the end, the saying is true,
That Love conquers all,
And my Champion, ‘tis YOU!
Most Beloved Yesu....
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever!” (Psa.73:26).
Nothing can touch that which alone matters in life and death. He loves me, and He means to save me completely.
