Jesus IS the Key!

“No one has ever spoken like this Man.” (John 7:46)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:1-5)
“He is the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:9-14)
Those who claim Christianity is a bunch of commands have entirely missed the Reality of the glory of God until they open the eyes of their heart.
Jesus is not a bunch of commands. He came into the world to show us something very different than that: He came to show us that He is the key to open the gates of the glory of the unseen realm to mere humans. The place where angels dwell and the glory of God is fully manifest day and night is open to mere humans.
How you ask? Because Jesus is the word, not a giver of teachings and commands. The keyhole to the glory of another realm known as heaven is shaped just like Jesus. He is the key, the word, the door, the life. What we could call commands, He lived out himself in practical human living to show us the way and the truth, not commands. He demonstrated with His own character “the shape of the key” to open the heavenlies to mere foolish humans.
He is not a bunch of rules, nor did he give a bunch of rules; He demonstrated and teaches the shape of the key that touches the tumblers of heaven’s gate perfectly—to swing the door open to the glory of God in this life and the life to come.
