Jesus' Uncanny Style

Jesus’ “STYLE” intrigues me... Obviously He was not “information” based, but “FORMATION” based. He functioned through RELATIONSHIP (as He still does, through His Spirit and through His People). As an example, He had forty days from the time He was resurrected from the dead, until He went back on the clouds to the third Heaven, with His Father. The Scriptures say He spent that time teaching them about the Kingdom. There would be SO much to say to prepare them, wouldn’t there?! And, what else did Jesus have to do for those forty days, except to Teach them, hour after hour, right? WRONG. “Eight days later” Jesus appeared to the gathered disciples again (Jn. 20:26). “During the forty days after His execution, He appeared to the disciples from time to time” (Acts 13). What was He doing for OVER A WEEK? “From time to time”??!!! Why didn’t He sit with them every day and give them all the information they would need to function in the future? That’s just NOT HIS STYLE! He cultivates our hunger, and watches over us during those times that He is not “right there with us teaching us” ... and tests us to see if we obey and love Him, even when we don’t “feel” or “see” anything! He comes and goes, pokes and prods, bobs and weaves, overwhelms and disappears, all at the least likely times! Incredibly creative and ingenious, He is. Isn’t He fantastic?!
