Kingdom Authority's Blessing by Connectedness

While watching a Jesus movie in which all the apostles were casted as elderly men with long beards (instead of men in their 20s and 30s, which is more likely), the movie was stopped for the following discussion about “if they obey my teachings, they’ll obey yours” (John 15:20)...

God’s Kingdom is defined by Connectedness, by interaction with God and each other.

In a human kingdom, when you don’t “obey,” you are punished. In God’s Kingdom, when you decide to disobey and disconnect, you are cutting yourself off from the benefits of LIFE!

But it's not about "obedience" to "rules and commands." It's about responding in Faith to that look in the eye. If you disconnect, then God allows your inner man to shrivel up and die. If by Faith you CONNECT, then you will flourish.
