“Led by the Spirit” ? Or by “PING”? (flesh, styrofoam cut-out religion, man pleasing, or by desires or illusions)

There is an erroneous and totally failed school of thought in part of the christian world that believes that “Glory” can by “prayed down” or “worshipped down” in THIS, the NEW COVENANT—as it was in the Old Agreement, the Old Testament. (Ironically, this “feeling” pagans also feel during their favorite love song and serendipitous encounters, and buddhists feel during meditation. Maybe that’s a clue. :) Father put that in all of Adam’s children—for a different reason than to substitute for TRUE Fellowship with His Son in THIS Covenant we are now a part of, by Jesus’ Blood and Spirit.)

That same school of thought that doesn’t yet know Jesus well at all, has been taught to mis-teach multitudes into craving power, or affirmation, or respect, or to collect a posse of followers, and get “a connection” and “stuff” for themselves, whether healing or material goods or a good parking spot. Don’t misunderstand. GOD DOES DO COOL STUFF! But, OUR Covenant is “in times past God worked “this way and that” … but NOW, THROUGH THE SON!” “Christ IN YOU, the Hope of Glory” now Revealed!

The mistaken view of God and communion with God and the leading of the Spirit wants to believe that their flesh and “Aha!” and “Wow!” events that their flesh desire are “hearing God.” Similarly, they are often taught in the fallacious and inferior form of CHRISTian life to use, as a ouija board or floating eight ball equivalent, the infamous “Lucky Dip” method of “reading the Bible” to get a “word from the Lord” by closing one’s eyes and putting one’s finger on some mystery “verse” to “hear God.” Jesus is very disappointed and satan thrilled by such voodoo forms of religion that MISS THE ENTIRE POINT of our New Creation, DNA Change New Covenant Birth!

“Glory” and God’s Presence” are NOT “called down” from Heaven in THIS Covenant, by worship or prayer. Look it up. :) And, “Being Led by the Spirit” is NOT “a PING from another Galaxy” that we listen for by hearing voices or by watching for evidences of “cool stuff” to confirm what our desires want, for healing or comfort or bills paid.

IT’S SOOOO WAY BETTER THAN THAT, for those who have the CHARACTER and LOVE and DEPTH of the Son as their goal and their Way.

Father, by His Spirit, IN HIS SON has made a BETTER COVENANT. His Way, in this Covenant, is not a breadcrumb of “wow moments”—NOT “a PING FROM ANOTHER GALAXY” ….

He says instead, “COME! Let us REASON Together.”

That’s bad news for the lazy and religious—and bad news for those who have no intention of CHANGING in their lives by obeying Him. (John 7, John 8, Romans 12:1-4, etc)

But, it’s True, nonetheless. :)

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
