Make These Words True

Our God, we recognize that there are blocks of time in our lives, seasons where the words “we adore You,” “we worship You” are not really true. We get distracted easily, we are weak and we turn our eyes away from You and we somehow get out of step, and we recognize that, so we don’t want to be hypocrites as we sing those words. We want to turn to You and we want those words to be true. We sing by faith, and when we are seeing things clearly, that’s what we want to join our hearts to, to live a life where we worship You, where we adore You, where we lay our lives before You, and we give ourselves to others. That’s the life that we are drawn to, that’s the life that is truly Life. That’s what You have shown us, that’s what You have taught us, and what we would like to do is renew our minds in all of these things and line up our lives with Your Truth and the way that You have shown us to walk. We want those words to be truer and truer all the time. Please show us Your way and reveal to us Your Son and please breathe into our lives something of Your Spirit and Your Hope. Thank You very much, our God. Amen.
