No One Can Do It For You

“Natural men’s caution and care to preserve others from spiritual danger can not keep them safe for even a single second.” (Jonathan Edwards, 1741)
This is not the whole story, of course... “How can a man believe unless he has heard? And how can he hear unless someone is sent to him?” (Rom. 10:14-15). God’s PRIMARY way of touching the lives of His Chosen is OTHER PEOPLE! ...Nevertheless, Jonathan’s point is well taken. “Natural men’s caution and care to preserve others from spiritual danger can not keep them safe for even a single second.” MEANING THIS: EACH OF US REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HAVE TO WANT JESUS OURSELVES! WE’VE GOT TO NEVER TAKE “SHORT CUTS” OR JUSTIFY SINS OF LYING, LAZINESS, PRIDE, UNKINDNESS, GREED, ANGER, UNFORGIVENESS, FEAR, LUST, WASTEFULNESS, DEPRESSION, INSENSITIVITY, OR IMPATIENCE. Between us and Jesus, personally, let’s say we’re sorry, start over, and vow to improve every day!!! No one can do it for us. We need to desire to love Him and walk with Him, as a response to HIM! From our hearts, to His. To “live for Him, who died for you.” But where would we rather be?? Blessed is the Name of the Lord! 10:56 a.m.
