Our Own Evil Opinions
11/29/2003
It’s not really possible to have the kind of faith in Jesus needed for a free and fruitful life… if, deep down, we are somewhat annoyed with how He has constructed the universe. We think we “believe” the truth, but we just don’t “like” it. This is only a deeper and evil form of unBelief because it challenges the goodness and wisdom of God. If His “good” doesn’t match our conception of “good,” then we’ll do our duty, but sulk all the while. This is shallow and evil and must be repented of and let go of if we are ever going to walk in the fullness of freedom He longs to share with us —but can’t—because we have no room in our hearts because of the strength of our own evil opinion. —nick 11:34 a.m.
