Pursue Blessing for Others
A couple of nights ago, in an effort to exercise care for others in a way that certainly doesn’t come easy, I picked out five things that I really want to see change in my life—some of which mean (or feel like they mean) a GREAT deal to me (greater depth of love for Jesus, the ability to see men not after the flesh, issues related to finances, etc.). Anyway, I then REFUSED to allow myself to say a word to God about these things for myself, but instead thought of one, two, or more people that I knew needed the same… and spent some time asking God in specific ways to help them in those same areas…. Just telling you in case you want to try this “exercise” yourself. As scandalous to self-life as it is, true Christianity is all about willfully pursuing blessing for others INSTEAD of ourselves… a lesson I really want to learn… join me? —bb 9:57 a.m.
Hi! For those of you who saw Bryan’s page this morning about thinking about something you REALLY want for your life, and asking for it for SOMEONE ELSE… I just wanted to let you all know that yesterday I had almost the SAME EXACT thoughts and interaction with Jesus that Bryan mentioned having. Don’t miss out on the Opportunity and the Beautiful Doorway He’s providing. love, sr 2:25 p.m.
