Reward? Seriously?

I was just listening to a song that mentioned our “reward” — and my instant unthinking response was to roll my eyes.

Are you kidding me? We need or deserve a REWARD after all he’s already done for us, in spite of ourselves?! A reward? Seriously? For what? For setting the record for the most failures? WHAT exactly?

Reward. It does not compute.

He already IS “our very great reward.”

Nothing further is needed, and certainly nothing further has been earned or is logical. 10:55 p.m.
