Seeds Don't "Work"--They Grow!

So what is our job in this?

Plant a lot and pull weeds.

Sow the seed and be ready for the harvest. (Not a harvest that we eke out, but that God produces.)

Bountifully Sow the seed and TRUST.

Keep the soil soft and scatter seed frequently and generously.

Faithfully scattering seeds! And watching for the growth so we can harvest, but watching with Peace, not striving or worrying :)

Letting go... trusting His Goodness and Faithfulness!!

Seeds don’t “work” – they grow. “We know not how.” “Getting something to work” is the abomination of the XY axis. Trust and love are the journey toward the z-axis, Life.

When stuff feels like it “isn’t working”… is that just radio talking? A hint/clue that we need to stop “trying,” and choose love and trust?

("Radio" = our spinning, chattering, analytical noisy thoughts that are not of Christ -- our radio of self-indulgence, self-justification, accusation and judgment, mopey, looping, fantasies, comparison, pride, fears, and more.)

Yes.

We’ve all surely sensed that it is possible to “try too hard” in planting seeds...which can quickly become X-Y.

“Scattering” sounds at first to lack the deliberateness of seeds well planted, LoL... but at least in this context, maybe it’s the crux of the issue—that the seeds are not “deeds” but the natural byproduct of real Life (Z). They fall from trees and release from plants into the wind. They are the inhales and the exhales, the picking-up and the putting-down, the words spoken and unspoken, the eyes and the ears, the gentle touches and the firm... John 1:13-14.

In that sense, a big part of our job:

Sooooooo, you’ve tried 1 million times to make a plant. You can’t. You can only sow, water, fertilize, and wait in the sunlight.
