Self-Control: A FRUIT of the Spirit!

Do you know why “self-control” is a “fruit of the SPIRIT?”

1) If you belong to Jesus, you absolutely have “self-control”—and therefore absolutely can use it, and no temptation is an exception to that! It is a “fruit of the SPIRIT!”

2) Reason two that “self-control” is a “fruit of Spirit,” is that though you absolutely HAVE adequate self-control to ward off temptation, you must “call on the name of the Lord” and give him credit, no credit for you. It’s a “fruit of the SPIRIT!”—not your personal strength. That would often fail of course, and moods and binges, depression or pride, are all the result of thinking it’s about “you” and some dumb kind of “religion”—rather than about Jesus.
