Simple Thought

just a simple thought i had today when reading this : )

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.

When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in His love.

I have told you this so that you will be filled with joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”

The only reason He told us this about obedience—is to fill us with joy! Overflowing joy! So, if i’m not filled with joy in my heart—then something other than Him has my heart at that moment. I have been distracted, or i haven’t obeyed Him. The knowledge of His love for me and my obedience to Him will fill me with joy!

“If you love Me, you will obey Me!”

“Go into every nation and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit...

and teach them to Obey everything I’ve commanded you!”
