Sounds of War
8/5/1998
Remember when Moses and Joshua were descending from the Holy Mountain and from Moses’ contact with Yahweh? They were almost back to the camp and heard the sounds of out-of-control carnal living. When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp” (Exo. 32:17). They heard the sounds of carnality—sounds and actions reflective of self-life and independence and carnality—loosed. What they heard still lives on today. They heard the spirit of talkativeness, bellowing, crudeness, crassness, selfishness, pride, those without sensitivity, loveless, wild actions, disjointed disconnected decision making, those crazed for entertainment or their own desires or their so-called “rights.” Anger, or lust, or mouthiness, wildness, giddiness, flirtatiousness, or foolish decisions. Out-of-control, ungovernable self-life. Here’s my point: EVERY MAN OR WOMAN OF GOD WILL SEE AND HEAR THESE AS JOSHUA DID: *THESE ARE THE SOUNDS OF WAR!* When a man or woman, old or young, that knows God and is jealous for His honor sees these things in their midst, to them it arouses the scent of war in their bones! Utterness for God, fire for the WHOLE PURPOSE OF GOD in His Church, and every man, woman, and child, and over all the planet, is “a fire in my bones that cannot be quenched!” Ask the Spirit of God for His Heart! Have a great day... In His Great Love,
