Consider this: Since the world is ruled by God’s enemy, then we must bear in mind that its primary function is to undo the work of God in our hearts. Therefore, as we seek to RESIST the enemy, we must also work hard to RESIST the subtle and not-so-subtle attempts of the world around us to draw us after itself. RESIST the sights and sounds that work on our emotions. RESIST the attractiveness of entertainment and self-gratification. RESIST the temptation to justify the things we WANT based on what we see others doing or having. Let’s sow HEAVILY to please the Spirit, not ourselves. The mind, emotions, and life controlled by the Spirit is LIFE and PEACE!! —bb 1:18 p.m.
