Thank You Jesus!

Some things I was asking God to burn into me today.... My “rights” and what’s fair: to live, die and suffer, now and forever in my sin. To be consumed in darkness and poverty of soul and spirit. That is the ONLY thing I deserve and am rightfully due. What is unfair and NOT my rights: that the Son of God should love me and give His life for me. That He should choose to die for a detestable wretch like me (my rightful place). That He should save me from not only the penalty, but the power of sin. That He should place me in the midst of a people, a family, that’s expression is so rare on this planet most can’t even conceive of it. That He should share Himself (His beauty, love, kindness, holiness, compassion, wonder, glory....) with dust. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you for being “unfair” to me! —donna
