A virus is a living thing, like a dog or cat or bear. Does that change your view of how to think of it and what to do? (Not that inanimate objects can’t also be addressed, as Jesus demonstrated.)

Well with animals, the more you “fear” them, the more powerful they become, in their minds but often even more so in yours. And God gave us dominion over the living things of the earth :)

Not as a religious game, but as seeing the universe as it really is, what the rules and Desired order and outcome are - and Who is really in charge. If a dog was growling at you, would you not look it in the eye and say “No!”? Or we can be victims, and just let the laws of biology and physics “heal” us. Whatever happens, happens.

It’s not a game, but desired order that must be enforced.

His wisdom is included in that, if he wants exceptions. But rolling over to the physical universe and its minions? No. “No! Enough!” in His wisdom and timing - could well be closer to His heart than submitting to the physical world, or even asking, “Pretty please God?”

“The weapons of our warfare are not of this world.”

“He rebuked the fever.”

He did not rebuke all fevers in the village that day or in the world, or for all time. Obviously. But He rebuked and rebukes what serves His purposes, confirms His Word, demonstrates His love and compassion, and changes lives. Plug in to That. “In His Name.”

Guilt, low vision, fear of failure or of harming God’s reputation (ha ha!)… These are no longer reasons to not conquer the giants in the land.

Could it be this is part of what it means that creation is groaning and waiting in eager expectation for the Sons of God to be revealed? Like an out of control child that’s actually longing for an Adult to step in and provide some discipline and order and authority and peace...

Love that!

Can you really envision a version of biblical Christianity that does not include dominating the seen world by the Unseen world? Is it even the real JESUS and real Christianity at all if that is not the case? Dive in.
