The Answer Is in His Eyes

One more “bumper sticker” for the day. Maybe. : ) ...Something that comes up a lot when people are realizing they aren’t who they thought they were and they definitely aren’t who God wants them to be yet is this: “Maybe I’m not even a Christian yet.” And that might be a fair question. It might be a humble question. But it very well may be a lazy hiding place. Let me explain.

“Maybe I’m not a Christian and need to be baptized!”

That’s not the “hard way out.” That’s the EASY WAY OUT! It is the idea that I can DO something that will make everything better. Rather than sitting at Jesus’ feet and waiting and learning and submitting—whatever and whenever HE, HE, HE, the Master Teacher says. Don’t play that human game.

Of course, the question may be true. And yet—LOOK INTO JESUS’ EYES rather than panic or look in the mirror!
